Fortec 786 won't save PID

I need to manually input PIDs for WB on G11. It doesn't save the PIDs when I press STORE.

PIDs are captured automatically when you scan the satellite. All you have to enter is Freq,Pol,and S/R.

Try this...

I'm new to these, but this was a function that I found I needed fairly quickly. Here's how I've gotten it to work on a 9800HDD:

In Install->2.Channel Search

Select "Manual All" for Search Mode
Click on the transponder number in the TP Data field to get the transponder info window on the right.

Fill in the TP data fields, including the PIDs.

Select "STORE"

Select "START"

If a channel with matching PIDs exists, the receiver will create it, usually as "Unnamed". When the receiver reboots, you'll be on it. If you check the INFO button, you'll find that your channel contains the correct PIDs.

I don't think it "sticks" to the transponder data in any way, but the channel, once discovered will survive across new scans.

(I have noticed that if the receiver re-discovers a channel already in there it does have a tendency to stomp the user-defined name with "Unnamed" or whatever the uplinker called it, which is annoying.)

I hope that helps.
