how do I change lof settings on a dvb-786na

how do I change lof settings on a dvb-786na,Ive been using a 1026a pci card so I know that the dish is pointed right @119 but Im getting 75%signal and 0% quality with the 786na,so I was tring to find how to change the lof setting to:
lof1 = 9750000
sw = 11700000
lof2 = 11250000
These settings was working on the pci card.
and do I use a null modem cable or a straight through cable to talk to the dvb-786na
So please help me on this

Download the set top box editor (called channed editing software) on the home page of Fortec:

http://www.fortecstar.com/downloads/

You will need a NULL modem serial cable to connect the computer to the receiver.
Read the box with the software.
One of the icons across the top allow you to change the LNB LO freqs.

i think i have a straight through cable not a null, so that could be one problem and i have all the software
