Fortec question

hello all, i am new with fta, i'm trying to get some channels at intelsat 805 and pas 9 plus some from galaxy 3r, what i have is a 10' dish and my fortec lifetime ultra, if possible, can someone tell me if i going to be able to get those channels they are fta as lyngsat.com (spanish channels) and i think they are vertycal polarity, i'm noticed my fortec have polarity control , but i dunno if i can just connect the rg6 wire from the lnb wich is c band to the receiver elininating the 3 wires from the servo or can someone give me a guide on what to do, any help is really aprecciate. by the way i'm :, at toronto.

Does your receiver have the 3 connectors for "skew" (pulse, ground and +5 volts)? Then you would connect your servo wires to these connectors. I don't think the Fortec Lifetime Ultra has these skew connectors. You will still need some way to move the dish.

thank's for the quick answer, bobkat i think i can send back the receiver, and change it for pansat, that one has connectors for that, , now , other question, how those three wires go connected to the servo it has thre wires red black and white , how they go in order to set them properly, and ohter qestion if i don't have enought wire can i use regular wire to run from the dish to the receiver i mean like extencion cord wire. instead the ribon wire, thanks for ur help.

Your best solution would be to buy a used analog IRD to move the dish and control the polarity.
Re the wire, any wire, such as telephone wire, etc, will work for the polarity, and actuator pulse, however you will need heavy grade wire to supply power to the actuator to move the dish. The guage required would depend on how long the run is, but generally a guage heavier than lamp cord, however heavy duty extension cord wire should work. If the guage is too small, there will be excessive voltage drop, and the dish will move very slowly, or won't have enough power to move.

Red = +5 volts
White = Pulse
Black = Ground
