pre purchase questions - pls help

i currently have dtv w/ a sony hd reciever and 2 rca recievers ... goin to purchase the fortec system ... questios are:

1] will i still be able to use my sony hd reciever connected to new dish?

2] will the other rca's still work also [since they have dtv cards in them]

3] i have a terk hd dish - will i be able to still use the mast and just mount the new fta dish on that.

and i just checked on my hd rec and it says that i am getting 101 , 110 and 119 satellite already ... so with that in mind do i need to buy a dish?

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do. It sounds like you think that the new fta system will replace your existing DTV system, which is not the case. It should use a separate dish, and gets different satellites. The fta receiver cannot receive ANY dtv signals, and you can't use the fta dish with your dtv receivers. And while you may be able to pick up some non-dtv signals using your dtv dish and fta receiver, the multi-sat switching makes this complicated and not worth the effort.
Recommend completely separate systems.

What exactly are you trying to do? You are going to purchase a Fortec system -- do you mean receiver and dish? Your DTV receivers will not work for FTA channels. You will need a bigger dish as well and different LNBs. The mast you have now might work depending on how much the Fortec dish must be mounted before hitting the wall.

i was gonna buy the fortec ultimate and frontier dish ... and possibly mount it on the mast i have for my hd satellite and take that dish down ...
see i was being mislead by a company that i can still get dtv even with the new dish and would not have to buy additional recievers which includes using my hd reciever ... hmmmmm
