Help, I have a Fortec Ultra, worked fine for one day, woke up this morning and when I turn on it shows only moving dashes on the display not "On" or Channel number. Anybody know what is going on? I have diconnected from power source and turned back on - same thing.
What was the last thing you did when it wass working? Did you upgrade the firmware before this problem occured? Is your cable grounded and was there any storms?
No storms, light rain, just turned of for the night. Have not checked for good ground, I will do that right now. I have tried bypassing my house cable wire to isolate wiring with no luck.
Checked ground, no help. New unit. Did not try or have capability (no cable) to update firmware. Should I get some display on a receiver that is disconnected from sat. and TV connections. I have tried this and still get the dashes instead of a display.
