Channel editing

I can't figure this out.

When I upload mt currrent settings using gtools supplied on the fortec website it works fine. after I rename my channels and downthem back to my ultra that all have $ in front of them and the receiver thinks they are scrambled. Any ideas . I am using Firmware - v.2.39NTSC ( July 05, 2004) and editor STB Editor 1.85 ( June 17, 2004)

What satellite our you editing the channel list for?

If you are editing Dish than yes you will get the $ and yes they are scrambled unless you have a subscription.

Which site did you download STBEditor 1.85 from?
