If you are trying to load Fortec software, you should not have to worry about when it was built.

All we are saying is that, you should be able to find out you model number just by looking at what is says in the fromt of you receiver. Second question is completely irrevlevant unless you are trying to do something illegal and nobody here will assist you with that.

I can tell you that I have had my Fortec for few months now and have been using it extensively. Not once did I need to know when it was built.

I guess, not to be a complete jerk, your best bet is to search around the web and try to find info that you are looking for.

I will repeat one more time, no hacking discussion here. Let's me get this straight. Why do you want to indentify the date of the receiver? Why are you paying the third party software while the manufacture already provides users official software at their site?
I don't want to use the "thread-locked" feature one more time.
