changing receivers with Dish Net subscription

I'm a new guy. Anyway, I'm considering buying the Fortec Star receiver. I currently have an old dish receiver (model 7200) that is not working right. I have a subscription and use a smart card. Since I cannot use the card with the Fortec receiver, how will I continue getting the service? Will Dish support this receiver?
