Customer Testimonial

Product:

Fortec Star DVB-786NA

Testimonial:

"I want to thank you for the speedy ordering process on my recent purchase. Although this was my first purchase with Sadoun satellite, I wanted to complement all the folks at Sadoun satellite for a very professional process in the initial introduction of your company, your products and the user friendly web page. All your links work, the web page is very informative and the support pages really provide the service after the sale that is lacking in other companies. I am very impress with your complete cycle of notifications of my order and the shipping informational links of the order. The equipment worked as advertised and the pricing is very competitive." I ordered a sf-95 meter from there by money order.I was counting how many days the money order had been gone and allowing 5 or 6 days, figured the money order had maybe arrived that day. Then about the time I started to count about what day I'd receive it the mail arrived. The lady came to the door with a package because it was raining I think, and there it was. Can't beat that.

I have done multiple orders with Sadoun along with 2 warranty claims. With the exception of one warranty claim (delivery time) the overall service and support has been excellent. The one time that lengthy delivery time was involved had nothing to do with Sadoun's. The mail lady left the package in the front seat of my truck and I never looked there for it Found it on accident one day. Been driving the car to help on fuel costs

I won the HD OTA receiver given away here at the site and even it arrived within days. Any questions are always answered quickly and for the most part accurately. The staff has been polite and respectful when I have phoned orders in or had a support issue.

Smile Impressively fast shipping but not tech support

I recently ordered a FTA system from Sadoun and they shipped it to me right away.

I am new to FTA and had dfiificulties to get it work initially. Call the tech support, all they could tell me is the information on the web and the user manual which I had read. The guy seems impatient to listen to my problem.

General I am satisfied with Sadoun

I must say that Sadoun has a Technical Support phone number and forgive me for asking, what is it for? I got the same respond as Glenda did a few years.

Hi pr1947

We usually ask that you read the instructions we put on the website to help you understand how to install the system. It is there to help you understand the process.

If you have a question that is not answered by the information provided, we will be happy to answer your questions here on this forum or if you give us a call.

Usually on Monday, we are very busy with callers (because of the weekend) and we have to answer as many calls as possible to help customers like yourself. So sometime, we may sound in a hurry, please forgive us.

I was relatively new to this too, I was able to put the Dish Network antenna up, and adjust it for an optimal signal, listening receiver beeps.
Apart of that, FTA was new to me. I never called any technical support, because I got an information from Sadoun's web site, from Geo-Orbit.org, and from this forum.
I think, before calling anywhere, customers should get familiar with their equipment, and general terms such as "magnetic deviation", and such...
Othervise, they will be like speaking different languages

Fully agree with that - a month ago this was all so new to me that I didn't even know how to pose productive questions... I feel like I'm making a lot of progress. Hopefully by the time I put up my FTA package next month I'll be much better prepared than I would have been!

i had a good experience with sadoun. i dont know who that person was talking to on the phone? but with this forum i was able to successfully set up my first motorized fta dish.--- ALL. and i mean all of my questions were answered. what do these people expect? to have it up and running in a hour or two? get real. i learned alot here especially patience, this forum should be more than enough help unless you are a complete moron. in that case you might need to waste some more money and hire someone to install it. as far as the shipping, maybe pay and have it shipped next day or whatever?? i give them a thumbs up! setting it up is half the fun!

I can understand Glenda's frustration... We were all "newbies" once ...

Luckily for me, I had a friend who gave me a general idea of how to install the stuff when I first started and going thru this site was able to ask the questions and get myself set-up, w/o calling Sadoun's Tech Support number...

But from a newbie's perspective, there is some expectation that they should answer all questions relating to install... Now I've not checked the site, but perhaps a disclaimer to have the caller read up and use this site first before calling could manage the user's expectations...

I am a repeat customer. My last order was a Mercury II receiver.
I returned this receiver because it would not download liniar TP's via the QPH LNb and a 4way disqc switch. It was returned to me with the note it was working(it works without the switch).Yesterday I called
customer service to talk about my problem. The person I talked to(I didn't get the name) was very ruud,he even hung up on me.He would not listen to my side of the story.Today I received an Email from him telling me that my 30days were up and he could no longer help me(I received the Mercury II on 1/3/2007 and it was returned within a few days. They took two weeks to get it back to me.)I seriously doubt I will be buying anymore products from Sadoun, and I plan on buying more equipment.
Reinhold.

I am not happy you got hung up on. I will check and see who was that.

Open a new thread here on the TP issue, and I think I can help you with that.

I must say that must part of my shopping experience with Sadoun is very happy. Their quick handling of the order, provinding tracking info is very impressive. Noticed some items were missing a few days later, called Sadoun, they shipped the missing items immediately without questioning.

But once in a while, you may have unhappy experience as Reinhold, pr1947 and I did, hope they can improve this part and make Sadoun even a better place for buying satellite system

I ordered my FTA equipment from the web site and used my bank card to pay for it and the whole order arrived at my front door in 4 days. I am very satisfied with their shipping time, concidering that I used the cheapest shipping method that Sadoun offers, (which wasn't bad at all).

Thank you very much.

I totally agree that users' expectations should be managed, especially in the satellite world. It's like buying a computer and asking the company how to run it, or how to get on the internet (when you may not even have an internet account). When you buy a computer or a car, it is understood that you know the basics of running it. This expectation should be the same for satellite equipment. When you buy it there is an understanding that you know the basics of setting it up and running it. Hope this doesn't sound too harsh.

Well, I can say that I've been nothing but happy with Sadoun.

I ordered my first FTA system from his store, used his directions before the YouTube video even existed, and got it setup great in a matter of a few hours.

I have also ordered a huge amount of stuff on Ebay planning to set up a torridal antenna, but, may not do that now. So, I have alot of stuff to put back on Ebay!

What I like about Sadoun is that they bundle packages that make sense and purchasing for the novice easy.

I did have poor service when I ordered a big dish bundle. It took a month and a half to get to me and noone at Sadoun informed me that it would take so long. Noone told me that the equipment was on back-order.

It came with a HH180 motor and 6 ft. dish. The motor broke and Sadoun was very responsive and helpful in replacing it. Unfortunately the new motor broke again and is obviously a defective design. Now my dish is bent and I have no signal.

Sadoun

Before I bought my system in July of '07, I called Sadoun for advice very helpful. I ordered it online. It got here in a few days. Then the fun started, I had a lot difficulties. Used the forum and called Sadoun several times all were very helpful. My troubles were all pilot error. I have since ordered other stuff from Sadoun no problem. I even steered my brother, who had an FTA system for 30 years, to Sadoun, he was not happy with another company he was dealing with. And so it goes.

Three Cheers for Sadoun Satellite

Three Cheers for Sadoun Satellite
Well as a newcomer to FTA Satellite reception, I like the one-stop shopping at Sadoun Satellite. They have everything needed to set up a system, and for newcomers, their packages (I have purchased two M2 Motorized Systems) are just the thing we need. Everything comes in one box, and their shipping is fast.

Their website is a treasure trove of information on how to set up systems, forums for those experienced and inexperienced to state their points of view, and links such as Lyngsat.com.

As for service after the sale, I'd say their folks at sales and tech service are top notch, they have always returned my calls and helped me out with problems. But, remember, it is up to the customer to educate themselves to a certain degree, and to exercise some mechanical and electronic skills to get their system up and running. Don't expect a company to hold your hand from beginning to end, you have to be proactive and do a majority of the work yourself.

In the end, I'd say that Sadoun rates a triple A, and I would like to especially thank Judy and Steve who have helped me through this process.

Oh, and I really like those Sadoun hats, that's a nice personal touch. This is the first place I've dealt with in a long time that shows customer appreciation in such a nice way. I make a point of wearing my hat anytime I work on my system, I think it gives me good luck.

good website...

What is also great about Sadoun, is that they have set up this forum for assistance to the do-it-yourselfer. They have good follow through on helping the first timer set up their own satellite system by putting so much information, including product manuals on their website, and pointing us to the right direction for installations.

So many times I have referred to the product manuals stored on their website. So many times I have referred to their instructions for installation. So many times I have found information on websites that they have referred to.

Keep it up Sadoun...

Thanks guys. We appreciate your good words and positive feedbacks. It keeps us motivated, indeed.

Yes, whenever we can find a manual for a certain product,we like to include it with the product description. Makes it easier for the person browsing that page to check the product instructions as well. Also, some people lose their product manual, so it is a good way to provide it for them on our website as a replacement.

As far as instructions, we like to make easy to the people buying the product to get additional supplemental information to what is available in the owner's manual. It is easier to read the basic stuff on a one or two pagers, instead of reading a 30+page manual just to figure out what to do.

The forum is another way to help new users with their technical questions. Thanks to the regular people on this board. They have helped so many people. This is an indication of their personal generosity, good character, and their high moral values.
