With the UCAS, you can load Pentacrypt and use 6in1 files. It's like a MM.

Satbox,

Can you give more details about the procedure on updating the embeded UCAS with Pentacrypt 1.09 ?

What programmer do we use ? Is it done through the back of the receiver or through the embedde smartcard slot with the same programmer as for the MagicModule ?

Sadoun, any info on this as well ?

Thanks in advance,

Adi

Same programmer as for the MagicModule (so through the UCAS slot). You can load pentacrypt with the standard MagicModule loader.

Hi satbox,

First of all, thank you for the prompt answer

I know there are other receivers out there that look EXACTLY like the fortecstar ones... ex : Manhattan ones... they even use the same firmware. On the official website of the magic module (magic-trance.nl), they talk about the exact same thing : Any receiver with the UCAS system is like a receiver with a magic module built in

This is great news !! Here we have a receiver that has the possibility to decode 6 different encryption systems wow !

I'm in canada. I'm mainly interested in Irdeto, Nagra, and ViaAcces. Someone on another forum posted that the DishNetwork stream is standardized in that it has the proper ECM and EMM Pids for a NORMAL Nagra CAM so in theory a UCAS system, loaded with Pentacrypt 1.09 and with the original DishNetwork smartcard (loaded with the proper box key and ird number from the PentaCrypt) shoult work just fine.

This is all theory because if nobody tryes it out, we'll never know...

If anyone has bought this receiver, can you please test out this theory for me ?

Sadoun might be able to check it out... hint hint

Thank you once again,

Adi

I am interested in this subject as well. Basically, I just want to spend this much amount of money but be able to accomplish several tasks in one for the conviences' sake too.
