uneversal LNB

ty for your help. my 36''system with stab hh120 has an uneversal LNB if i strap on to it 1 standard lnb would it work to recieve other birds that have standard or is there a dual lnb such as standard and uneversal maybe .and what angle or position on DiSEqC and thank for your help finally got dish in the arc

There really isn't such a thing as "birds that have standard" . Basically, there are satellites in the regular 11.7-12.2 GHz ku band, and there are some sats in the low band below 11.7 , and there are DBS sats in the high band above 12.2, and there are lnbs that can receive each of these three bands, all of which would be setup in software as "standard". A universal lnb allows you to get two of these bands, ie the regular and low band, and basically what you have with your universal is what you refer to as the dual lnb, so you alread have what you are looking for. Only thing you could "strap on" to get more would be a circular DBS lnb that would get you the high band, however most of what is on these sats is encrypted, although there are some fta signals.
