lifetime problem..

I HAVE A LIFETIME ULTRA .DO I NEED TO UPLOADSOFTWARE OR NOT.I CAN'T SCAN SAT,IT'S STAY IN 0 SEARCH.ONLY ONE CHANNEL SHOW UP.THE REST IS SCRAMBLED OR BAD CHANNEL.WHAT CAN I DO.PLEASE HELP/THSNH YOU SO MUCH[/u][/b]

What satellite are you trying to get?

what channels you are looking for? where did you get your receiver from?

i try to get t5 and some local channel....

What kind of dish/lnb are you using. You aren't by chance trying to use a DTV/Dish network dish are you? To get T5, you need something like a 30-40" dish and a linear lnbf. If that is what you have, then your problem is probably aiming the dish. If you have the small DBS dish/lnb, then most things are scrambled, and you won't be able to view them.
