Diseqc problem

I just purchased (10 days ago) a Fortec Ultra. I see in the instructions
that it is 1.3 campatible for diseqc. But I purchased a DS21 diseqc switch and now notice this is 2.0 Questions is, is this 2.0 compatiible with the 1.3 Ultra. I did install is at the receiver (cable run about 30 feet to BUD) and had problems getting a signal reading at times. So took it out and put in a a-b
switch and seems to bring in c band and k band for fta use ( also am using hf splitters) Perhaps Im not setting it up properly any suggestions? Is it necessary to try and find a 1.3 diseqc switch?

Diseqc 1.2 and 1.3 (USALS) is used with Diseqc h-h mount to motoize a Ku-dish.
Set the Diseqc 1/2/3/4 port accordingly to your set up.
