Dish will not stop moving

I have a Fortec Ultra with a Stab120HH motor which I bought from Sadoun and which all have been working good for a few weeks now. This morning when I turned on the
receiver the dish would not move to the proper location. It just started moving back and forth about 5-10 degrees and would not stop moving.

I tried everything I could think of. I tried to set it to reference position, tried powering off and on, and it still would not stop moving or set to a satellite. It would pass by my south sat and give a picture for 1/2 second and then go blank. I could watch the quality go up and down as it passed the satellite. I even tried doing a factory reset to no avail. :?

Even with all satellites positioner parameter set to disable, the dish keeps moving back and forth when the receiver is powered on and will not stop or go to reference position.

One other thing. When I power up the receiver from the switch in the back. The number -05- comes up briefly before ON shows up on the display.

Anyone have any ideas? :?: :?:

Do you have the firmware update for the Ultra? It available at the Fortec Star website and there is a thread here on downloading it.
That probably wouldn't hurt...

I haven't downloaded the firmware. I'm not quite ready to void my warranty yet.

I also want to be sure it isn't a hardware problem first.

As I said before it had been working perfectly up until today!

Its going between 0 and 4 degrees East back and forth any time the receiver is on. It will stop if I set the power off on the LNB. Its almost as if it is searching for the reference point, but can't find it. It is doing this even if all the satellites have the positioner set to disable.
