How many channels should I be receiving?

I have the Sadoun M1 system installed and working. Assuming I have the dish pointed in the optimum direction and conditions are good, how many channels should I be able to receive? I did a scan and have something like 462 (some of which are encrypted). I thought heard others saying they had over 700.

After I did the scan I thought the list that I have is the sum of all channels from all the satellites that it found. Why do you ask what satellite I am on?

When I did the scan I selected something like 52 satellites that were in the list.

I'm sorry, I thought you only had power (blind) scanned one satellite and it's channels into your receiver.

but were you able to see all 52 sat's from your location a more likely number of sat's would be about 35 and that is if you receive c band as some sats are c band only check lyngsat for a list of sat's over North America.
