Hello everybody, Thanks to your help I recently install my 33" dish with my fortec star dynamic, pointing to 97W, and my wife now is watching her Thai channels, (Some). My question is what is the maximum quality that I can get from Galaxy 97W. It looks like anything that I do my quality keeps fluctuating between 36% and 50%, and some days I loose 2 different channels. Can I get stronger signal with an inline amplifier, do they work? or just be happy with what I got.

Galaxy @ 97W
Have the same setup as you.
I run about 75 feet of RG/6 with an inline amp (probably not needed) and the best I can get is around 48 - 52% signal quality, and it never stays steady, fluctuates. I also notice that you can different signal quality depending on the transponder. The best sig. qual. I have gotten among the sats is about 68 - 72%. Interestingly, some that are 28 - 29% quality still come in fine, no signal freeze, breakup, etc. |
