fortec star life time ultra

hi everyone.
I just picked up this stb.I got it to receive fta programing The prior
owner has not used it for over 6 months,I beleive this box has been moded.ect.. I did a reset I think. just wondering if I had to download a factory file or such before this would work for me?I also have noticed some fta birds not listed.I am tottaly new to fta. i have a 33" *choice dish with linear lnb as well as a 43" dish-linear lnb.
most interested in 123.0w gal.10rku but i know someone 100 mile's away who receives 97.0w so i thought i would start there.
i have researched for about 3 hours tonight can't find a sticky or step by step here.I have no manual or anything for this stb. sorry for rambling didn't want to spend another day adjusting if i'm missing something simple.
does my coax from lnb go into if input 13/18v?
Thanks,dale9805

coax on mine goes in on sat input 13/18v.
go under antenna setup and make sure you have everything set properly for the sat you are trying to receive like lnb lo freq and lnb power also if you are using a switch make sure you have it set to the right port.

o.k I have it figured out now i have tuned in 101.0w and 97.0w using the blindscan method. wish this box automaticaly identified the birds so i didn't have to figure it out myself.
Thanks for the help,dale9805
