Total noob ... please help :?

Hello,

I'm going to purchase Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra ... the only reason I need it is so that my grandma could watch four russian chanels RTVI+, RTVI, 1 kanal, NTV America.

We reside in Ottawa, Canada ... how can I find out whether these channels won't be scrambled?

On lyngsat I found these channels in Dish Network package they go under sids (592, 593, 594, 595)

I just need to find out whether it is worth to buy the system...

Thank you

Here is a link to the free Russian TV channels; from what I can see, none of the satellites cover North America so I think you will not be able to watch anything free from Russia; but it is still worth buying a FTA system because they is so much out there. Its a lot of fun.

Russian Channels

On Telstar 5, there's Ajara TV from Georgia. I don't know if you're interested for this channel.

Cat man... anything Dishnetwork is automatically scrambled. In lyngsat, the channels that are in red are scrambled. Only the white channels with the "F" letter can be viewed.
