Fortec Lifetime Ultra
Does the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra (FLU) pass AC3 audio out the sp/dif port?
mine seems to not-
am I missing something?

Yes it should. Be sure to switch audio to AC3 on your receiver. That's the red botton on the remote.

the red button on my ultra does nothing it automatically sets the AC3 sound on channels that have it.

Well on my Fortec Classic, I have to toggle between regular audio and AC3 using the red botton. For most stuff like news, I have it set at regular audio, but if there is a good concert, then I turn on the stereo and switch over to AC3 for maximum enjoyment.

Two different receivers the ultra does have a audio button but the AC3 is controlled automaticaly.

when mine won't broadcast in AC3 mode I switch to a channel with sound then back and the AC3 locks in.
