Fortec Mercury II Question on Channels

Hello
I notice on AMC 3 at 87.0°W - LyngSat there are channels
listed on that page that are not in my receiver. Like 87w 12047 V tp18
7230 which is the Florida channels. How can I add this transponder?

If I do a scan and this channel really exists should it automatically add it?

I also notice 12180/v/30000 tp24 PBS I cant get that. is that really there? date on post is recent.

If I upload the newest software to receiver will this load most recent satellite info? And will it delete the channel list I have?
Thank you in advance
Don

do a power scan and see if they will come in. If that don't work try a advance scan and put in the freq settings and see if they will lock.
