Just Some Questions

Dish showing picture, but . . .
Why would my DiseqC 1.2 (SG2100) motor, need to be moved with USALS? Why won't DiseqC move it? Another question. I setup my dish, but for some reason, my "close" True South alignment, chose AMC 3 (not 5). Is there anyway of setting up my AMC3 as my True South position, adjusting the other satellites accordingly? or do I have unskrew everything and try to find 5. Lat is 36, Long 79 (Graham, NC 27253).
One more, can a linear Lnbf, pickup the free circular signals on any of the EchoStar sats? There, No more questions, for now .. .

Thanx guys

it should work with disqec 1.2 or usals. usals is easier to set up the dish you could use amc 3 to align your dish but it is easier and more acurate to be on your true south sat or one that is close to it. a linear lnbf can pickup some circular Transponders but may not pick up the ones with free stuff. it usually picks up the lower freq TP on circular sats.

One More . . .

Ok, when I unscrew and realign the dish and motor assembly to point directly at the AMC 5 sat, and lock it down. When fine tuning, and getting the best signal I can, and lockin it down. That is what you do right? I Mean , getting the best signal on that Southern most satellite, will help me tune in the rest of the Clarke Belt, Right? I know maybe some fine tuning here and there, but if I fine tune for another sat, will it mess up my tuning for my "first setup" sat, AMC 5?

not if it's done right. but once you adjust a eastern or western sat you should always return to your true south sat to recheck.

You are tracking an arc not a line. When your motor is at 0 it is at the highest point it will reach. Your true south sat is the highest point in yoru view of the arc. This is part of why you align for true south. Makes the entire process much easier.
