Tv settings on DVB 786v3

I never understood the difference between some settings in the TV settings menu on FortecSTAR dvb 786v3. I know that 4:3 is the aspect ratio, but PS and LB make no difference, what do those mean? (PS=progressive scan?) and the video output: COMP or RGB , I see no difference. what are these for?
