can fortec classic na be modified to work with 97 west?

hi.
i have fortec classic na, has been dead for longtime,i was told that it can be modified or convertedor jtag , to work with dish 97 west so we can watch arabic channels .no idea how to do it ,,,any idea can be appreciated.

if hard to do it,i can sell for any one who know how to fix it..i am in montreal,quebec

Why is it dead? If it is a software issue, in other words someone installed illegal software in the past and now it has rendered the receiver useless you may be able to revive the receiver by installing factory software available from Fortec. If it is a hardware issue (bad power supply or something like that) best to just buy a new receiver.

Yeah, with FTA receivers so cheap these days (around $100), sometimes it's just easier to buy a new receiver than trying to fix a dead one...
