set up Fortrec in N Spain for BBC & English channels

I am new to digital. I am switching from analog to digital in Spain. This is a very isolated area where it is almost impossible to get technical information except via internet.
I want English language stations. On analog I have been using ASTRA and Eutelsat. Are there other satellites with cinema or drama? Classical music and jazz?
I do not understand how to program manually the Fortrec to add channels which are not already listed. I am aware of the lyngsat site and the names and numbers there. Are the long numbers the ones to enter during set-up? Are these what are called TPs? The set up instructions assume that the owner knows something already. But clearly I do not.
Doe someone have the patience to give me step-by-step set up instructions for European sattelites? I am using an ordinairy SONY TV. The closest city is OVIEDO in N Spain.

Re: set up Fortrec in N Spain for BBC & English channel

Cas,
Most of members here live in the US or Canada. To be honest, we are no familiar with European satellites. We need to know more info:
1. Your Fortec model.
2. What kind of dish are you using? Fixed or movable ku?
3. If possible, give us the Long of the satellites you are intersted in, so we can look at them on lyngsat.com to get the info such as freq, pol, sr, a/v pids, pcr.....
I will try to help you as much as I can. I am sure there are ton of European sat forums on the net. Google is your friend....:-)

Hola cas:
You can try Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B :
http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.shtml
They have a lot free to air stations and radios with all kind of music. that can be received easyly in Spain. Those satellite are on the same orbit at 28.2°E close to the Arabsat 2B.
Some People in Morocco uses these satellites to leran English and discover the British TV stations.
Si tienes alguna question, puedes ecribir me. Sere feliz de ayudarte.
Aqui in EEUU, Hispasat is un buen satellite para receiber Canales de Galicia, El Pais Vasco, Catlunya y Canarias.
Aqui estan las mapas de Eurobird 1 :

My receiver is a Fortrec Star DVB-786v3 FTA
I am using a Fortrec Star Universal Ku0.5db LNBF FSKu-v

I dont understand how to enter satellite names and codes for satellites available here in Spain, ie, Hotbird, Eusatel, ASTRA. Where do I begin. The instructions received with the receiver assumes one is using Canadian and USA satellites and has some knowledge of sytems. I had thought about buying a motor but they are expensive and I do not believe that I will need more than to positions. And I have 2 dishes and 2 LNBs (90cm) from my old analog system.
So, step by step info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
cas
