Ultra... SAT-46

I just figured out something that I can't beleive I hadn't figured out after several years of playing with the Fortec Ultra. I thought that this was just another weird behavior of the Fortec Ultra, perhaps caused by the scrambling of memory from memory over-runs. However yesterday, I reset the thing to factory conditions yet again, and once again I'm seeing this behavior, before putting any sats in, so I decided to figure it out.
What I was seeing was the appearance of a satellite called SAT-46, but only in some menus. If I go into the antenna setup, this sat is not there. If I use the serial port to download all the channel/sat/transponder data, Sat-46 is not there. If I go into transponder, network, advanced, or satellite scan, then this satellite is not listed. But if I go into blind power scan, and go to choose which satellite, one of the satellites listed is the "SAT-46". As I've said, I've been seeing this sat appear there for years, but I've always just skipped over it, as I thought it was a scrambled memory thing. Today, however, I decided to try a blind scan. Scanned in a couple transponders/channels. Then went in and re-named Sat-46 to the proper sat name.
Now, I figured I was done with seeing SAT-46. Just to make sure, I went into power scan. Scrolled through the satellites. No SAT-46. However NOW, there is SAT-47!

Finally, it dawned on me that SAT-46 is just the same thing as a "NEW SAT", and that there were already 45 sats in the default memory. I don't know why that never occurred to me.
Just as an experiment, I connected the serial line, and downloaded the data, edited it to remove several un-used sats. Uploaded it again. Went to try a blind scan. Yep, now I had a SAT-33.

Anyway, just in case anyone else is as dumb as I seem to have been, I just thought I would share this to avoid possible confusion.

So what I thought was another weird Ultra behavior was just user stupidity.
