I have the Fortec Lifetime Ultra. I am looking for a way to get the fta channels. I also have an ellyptical dish with 2 lnb's. What would I have to do to get this to work. Do I need a new receiver? Or would I be able to use the one I have? Please let me know.
What size is the dish? What type lnbf's? If you are trying to use a DN or DTV dish you will not receive FTA channels with it. You will need to purchase a dish at least 31"D. with a linear lnbf.

Read all about this and learn all you can.
Learn about C-band, Ku-band, lyngsat.com, FTA, different LNB types C - Ku, Circular, Linear, USUALS, diseqc, and dish sizes. At a minimum I would recommend a 100 CM dish (1 meter) for Ku.
Read the instructions for your receiver. If there is something you don't understand, search google.com and read about it.
