I was surfing the Lyngsat website and have a couple of questions.
First, there were some channels listed that are color coded as "digital in the clear" and the encryption is DVB. Other channels are color coded the same but in the encryption column are "F" as free to air. My question is what is the difference? Wouldn't both of these kinds be free (as in no subscription needed) since they are both in the clear, as long as you have a DVB compliant receiver like the Lifetime? I ordered a Lifetime receiver from you and will be receiving it next week.
Second, is the sat tracker on the lyngsat website for C-band or Ku band dishes?
second question first, its both, c-band are the frequincies with 4 digits (color coded as red), kuband has 5( color coded as green) a hybrid sat is yellow (has both ku and c), 1st question, dvb is almost like a type of encryption but its not, so i guess the anwser would be is , it both
