Fortec Lifetime reciever--No sound with PBS Channels on AMC3

Hi. Two Questions

1. I am using a Fortec Lifetime Receiver, I receive the National PBS Stations, but not the sound. Do I need to enter a PID? How does one do this?

2. I receive from AMC3 the National PBS stations and the Bloomburg feeds, but I cannot seem to get the other DVB Broadcasts like Montana PBS, or The Patient Channel??

Any Ideas?

AMC-3

The PBS mux on 12111H is AC3 audio that the lifetime can pass through but in order to hear the audio you need a stereo that can decode it. If your stereo doesn't have a digital dobly input then you won't hear the audio. As far as the patient or "tips" channel they are working fine here. I have noticed that those channels are not the strongest. I have a 90cm dish and the quality is not the best so if your running a 76cm dish that might be the problem. As far as entering a pid, I don't know about the lifetime but I have the 786V3 and the only way to enter pid's is with the computerized software editor. If the lifetime is like that and I think it is, then there is no way to manually enter pid's with the remote. If the receiver doesn't scan the pid's then you have to use the computer. Good luck.
