NBC feeds

this question is out of left field but.... about 10 years ago someone gave me a stationary ku dish and receiver. i set it up and received. i remember getting nbc feeds of primetime shows (at the time it was seinfeld) hours or even a day ahead of when it was scheduled to play. now in the present i have a motorized ku set up and i have not seen this. does anyone remember this or know if this still exists?

Nbc

I am not home much during the week, but on the weekends I almost always catch NBC on SBS6. NBC, MSNBC, and/or CNBC plus lots of feeds (Got to see Hillary singing the National Anthem today in Iowa, PRICELESS!!!) ... I was watching it most of today and I believe it's still up...

This year, I watched all of the NBC NASCAR races on SBS6 as well as the Sunday night NFL games...

Not sure about during the week..

I looked at the SBS 6 listing on LyngSat. Some say 'NTSC' under the video encryption heading. The rest say DVB. My receiver is a Fortec Star 5400.

I haven't tried to scan this satellite yet. Stille need to complete my dish alignment this weekend.

Is there anything special I need to do to receive these feeds, or feeds in general in the ku band? I'm assuming my receiver is not capable since it is DVB.

Try AMC6 at 72W. It's the one with GBN (Gospel Broadcasting Network). A blind scan will let you pick up NBC stuff, CNBC, MSNBC.

You can still get the "early" airing of shows with a big dish. I do not have a analog receiver so all I can say is that with a 4DTV receiver they are still there. If fact Orbit lists them by category in the back of the book.
