Electronically illiterate

I have had no signal for four days! On the installed summary screen everything is in
red print..Installed device:Unknown(is printed), Input for satellite & polarity all have red
x's, Status:No switch box detected(is printed.) I have a DP 311 dish system . Any help
would be greatlly appreciated. Thankyou

Who installed that system for you?
Have you tried to call them? This is what I would do, if I were "illiterate".
If you want to do your own troubleshooting, please, be more specific and tell where is that "installed summary" screen?
Did you check cable connection to the receiver?
