? European channels in AZ ?

Does anyone have a clue as to what might be needed to get European channels in Arizona.

Have been looking at a 2.4m dish motorized but can not figure out if it will work. Clear line of sight to the east.
6740f elevation. Do I need some fancy lnb or will the C / Ku band combo LNBF do the job ?

Also will it be better to roof mount or ground pole plant it.
1 Roof is about horizontal to 60 or 70 deg and east facing but approxm. 160 pounds surely this is good for disaster when ice gets on mountings ???
Struckture can take 5x200 pound guy's standing on it.

Had a look at satcodx.com but their maps shows zones for satellites or for location , they used to have a tool that by adding your long /lat it will tell you what sat's are available with a specific size dish.

It is all greek to me , but willing to learn.

That is my line of thought. I could loan you my 18"D drill bit. It has the shank turned down for a 3/8" chuck on a hand drill.

Not sure have not figured it out precisely.
Anything is better than my local cable company and the usual local sat company's bouqets is so ??? not compatible with me. Local sat company's = travel channel + g4 tech tv maybe some rugby that is about it.

Looked at Panamsat 9 302.0E - 58.0 W and according to their dish track app. this is the results. ZIP 85901 "Airport = SOW"
Selected Orbital Slot 302° East Your Location 28° North, 115° West Azimuth 106.96Elevation 20.61

Likely what I would like to see is some DW maybe some BBC / Sky and or possible something from France or such depending what is available. Even if I do not understand some languages anything is better than what a I have now.
Heck maybe even some channels from Florida with some nice beaches / maybe clothed women , beautifull buildings ??? Beautifull land.
The stuff they show me here and the 10mj. pine trees does not fly my kite .
The small town / sticks I am in now does not promote "TV satisfaction" for a lack of a better word.

I will even watch paint dry on satellite. LOL
This 6 min.s of show + 24 min.s of medicine adds just drives me crazy and DW webcast is blocked via the internet ??
Acording to satcodx site I should be able to see zones 6 7 8 9 , with 6 and 9 only some of them as some is behind the horizon. Not really bothered about zones 6 and 7.
9 Anything from W35+ deg is apparently above my horizon.

Talking last few Q?'s

I need to get a receiver that can do FTA and maybe some packeged channels as well.
Not sure about the modules / cam ?? there must be a multi 4 in one ??? or software and connect it to a pc ??

Maybe there is a way to spilt the cable to feed 2 receivers ??

Getting 76inch solid dish motorized + assembly/mount for free.

I can now spend all of the $600 budget on a receiver
and possible get a better/newer LNB for C / Ku band / other stuff ?

Suggestions ??

Also do I need a special license / permit to receive via sat in AZ , don't want the goverment helicopters / troops on my porch after planting the dish ??

Thank you for the reply's so far.

All helps is apreciated.

One suggestion.... rather than (or in addition to) SatcoDX, you might try using the Lyngsat web page, ie North & South America - LyngSat . Most here like Lyngsat better. It is a bit more user friendly. Also, although neither Lyngsat nor SatcoDX is particularly up to date, Lyngsat is generally better than SatcoDX. If some new channel pops up you might find it on Lyngsat in days or weeks, but it probably won't appear in SatcoDX for 6 to 12 months, or more. Both tend to retain obsolete things a bit too long.
