Receiving C Band on 1.2M offset dish

Writing from South Africa i am receiving CNN(broken picture) on NSS 7 at 22W with a 20 Degre LNB .I am not sure about the focal point for a C band feed on an offset dish and perhaps someone can advise me on this aspect. Also will a Conical Scalar ring be of assistance and a lower degree LNB.

What I have read you should get a little better signal with the upgrades you are thinking about.

If only you had a bigger dish.

C/KU LNBF from sadoun 0.3 should make a difference and the focal point F/D look for ??? wesjones ?? think this is his name as he has links to one of his websites that describes this and propper instalation tecniques including the F/D .

Look for the graphics about the depth and focal point.

Also try google and search for manufacturers instructions as apparently a slightly off lnb / lnbf will make for weak signal.

There is also a program on onlinetv3.de as this gives you internet webstreams from channels all over the world but is fairly limited as it comes from the websites of the channels themselfs and is limited by bandwitdh.

One of the better ones I have tried.

Yes this is not satellite but it makes up for the channels you might not find or be able to view.

Also have you compensated for the magnetic deviation.
For 36S and 28W it is 29° 50' W might be past Cape Town somewhere not sure.
LNB goes clockwise / anti clockwise to compensate.
Look at wesjohns page about this .
NOAA's Geophysical Data Center - Geomagnetic Data

Would be nice to get DSTV / Multichoice here , payed for their IPTV service but can only be awake for the of air recorded stream's / downloads and the quality is a bit sad but nice.
Apparently they are the leaders in the world with IPTV with the Irish second only 3 irish channels or the like.
kuduclub.com

Have also looked at maybe getting a property in France and planting a few dishes/packages conected to the internet and SlingBox/Eyetv ?? so that I can watch the Europen channels I pay for here.

Asked Apple 2 years ago for this = no joy.
