OK, your location is approximately:
Latitude: 27.96°
Longitude: 81.95° W

This would make your Southern most satellite NIMQ 2 @ 82°, however that is an encrypted Bev. Bird and you problably won't get much of a signal. So if it were me, I would use either AMC 5 @79° or AMC9 @85° (both about 3° off).

Follow the instructions found here on the forum to do the rest of the setup and good luck.

the motor is set to your latitude and stays there...
in your case it would be 28.

Dish setting depends on what model dish you have (sort of, I'll explain that one later after I know what you have) and what brand of motor you're installing.
Explain your equipment and we can give some guidance.

set your dish elevation to 25.5 degrees and motor to 28 degrees on the latitude side of the motor bracket.these are starting angles dish has been known to be off by 5 degrees so if you dont get anything try raising dish elevation by5 degrees and try again.leave motor at 28 degrees do not change it once it is set and make sure you are adjusting the motor on the latitude side of the bracket.

after you do all that reading, I assume you have dish mounted on motor, and on good solid mounting pole, all level etc.

- put motor at "reference" or zero setting
- line up everything to 185 degrees on a compass
- Put in your longitue and latitude on the motor settings screen in your receiver. Make sure it's N and W on the settings.
- Pick AMC5 as the satellite and put transponder on 11742V
- have a TV & the receiver out by the dish & motor, makes lining up easier.
- motor will move (not much) to AMC5
- very slowly, adjust motor on pole side to side, and dish elevation up and down to find Utah Education channel. The adjustment is very touchy. 1/8" adjustment will lose the picture & quality signal level. Do a scan and see if you get some stations.

Tighten everything down. Now have the motor move to IA5 and see if you can get some channels. Fine tune as needed.

did you do a scan to see if you get the Utah education channels?
Cant miss them, graphic panels with text that doesnt change.
(unless they are showing some video instructions)

Lets make sure you are actually on the right sat.
Getting a station to show confirms that.

But hey- youre getting there I think! !!!

Make sure the lnb is pulled all the way away from the face of the dish, in it's black holder.

more help

what i did.......
set everything like i was instructed motor and dish.
i used my compass and found what i thought to be 180 degrees and pointed the whole thing towards there.
with the receiver i moved the dish to amc5 79 degrees.
slowly swept east/west. found nothing.
in that small space i moved the dish close to 30 degrees and started to get a stronger signal but nothing over 33 and jumpy.
i moved it back and forth and up and down slightly waiting each time for detection of movement. nothing.
it never said locked. so i didnt get a chance to see anything?
question: where is the setting mark on the motor elevation screw thing is it the pointy end that is supposed to indicate where it is set. could i have that wrong?

are you using usuals or disqec 1.2 to move your dish.also try reference your motor to zero then move to amc5 and make your adjustments for signal quality.and do you have your latitude and longitude program into your receiver.

usuals. lon and lat programmed in. go to zero. move to amc5 my true south sat. right? do it with motor or manually push it? then scan sat for channels and then select another sat from list. let the motor move it there and it should be perfectly tuned as long as my true south sat is perfectly tuned right?
