Smile Need help with my sat dish.

Hi, everybody!

I've been working with my Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra receiver and I'm newbie on the subject. What I want to conect is the satelite brazilsatB1 and get the brazilian chanels and radio
The equipment I have are, receiver, 8' Fortec Star dish, lnbf
and sat finder. I founded at the coordinates that I have, just three chanels from Brazil.
Please If somebody know how to conect with that sat and how to work with my receiver, let me know.
We'll talk soon.
Thanks

Are you saying that you have picked up 3 channels off this sat? According to the footprints, you shouldn't be able to get anything off that sat, unless there are some transponders not listed properly in Lyngsat. (This wouldn't be unheard of. I know of one other sat that Lyngsat says we can't view in the US, and it has a couple viewable transponders not listed in Lyngsat.)

No, I found out that the sat I got was Amazonas @ 61.0W,
and I got the footprints from Lyngsat and you were right, brasilsatB1 is just for South America and Brasil.
Do u know any way to pick up brasilsatb1 or it's impossible?
Thanks a lot for your help!!

only way to pick it up is to move where the beam is which in this case would be South America.

I'm using slingbox to transmitte Brasilian channels from brasil. I bought sadoun system and I installed it in Brazil then connect to the slingbox transmitted through the high speed internet to my TV in Jacksonville, FL.
I have a crystal clear reception.

but you would still have to own property in brazil or know somebody there to be able to set up the dish.
