Diffrent sats same degree.

I have a question regaurding lyngsat. I noticed that certain sats share the same degrees (I like to think of it as an address).

Here is an example 129.0°WEchoStar 5060622Intelsat Americas 7060623

so, when I tune my USALS to 129.0 do I get both sats? Or just ECHO 5?

Do the numbers to the right have any meaning when tuning in the sat?

The echostar bird at 129W is a circular polarity bird and requires a different LNB from the linear IntelSat bird. You'll see only one satellite in this case.

If you were to scan 110W with a circular LNB, you'd get both satellites at that location.

Those particular numbers to the right indicate the date of the latest information for that satellite submitted to Lyngsat.

The two sats transmit at different frequencies. You'll get whichever sat your system is tuned to. The echo sat is also circular, which uses a different LNBF to do right.
Interesting. I didn't realize they had move Echo 5 to 129. Previously, Lyngsat listed IA7/Echo 9, however Echo9 was actually the same sat as IA7, and Echo 9 was a Linear sat. You'll notice that the Ku freqs between 11700 and 12200 (ie the old Echo 9, really IA7) are linear, H/V while those above 12200 (ie Echo 5) are circular, ie R/L.

EDIT: Sorry, ignore my Echo9 comment above, I was confusing the 129 position with the 121 position in my next to last sentence above, where I talked about IA7/Echo9. ie Echo9 and IA13 are STILL together at 121 which is what I was referring to. Not sure how I mis-read that.
