Im new to fta but i am considering buying a lifetime.

iv read several ideas about using an old primestar dish
can you give me any input on doing this.

and if it will work can i use a stab motor on it ?

any input is appreciated

Yes you can use that dish. You will need to modify the LNBF bracket in order to hold the 40mm neck LNBF. Or you could use the LNBF that is on the dish, but you will need a multiswitch to control V/H polarities.

Yes you can add a STAB HH100 motor if you have a pole mount with a 2.5" diameter or a U-Bolt type mount.
