Mercury 2 no sound on some channels?

I'm having a problem getting sound on some of the PBS channels on AMC3 with my Mercury 2 receiver. Is there something I can do for this? I tried the Audio button on the remote...I read that some channels are set to something other than English, but it just gives me the offset menu.

It's digital audio - you'll need a digital decoder.
Search the forums for "digital audio" for suggestions on what to use.

Yeah, I was aslo pissed off - watching "MontanaPBS" for now.
As i saw on this forum, to decode AC3 you need ANY 5.1 capable receiver or
"Extigy" external Sound card from Creative, which works without computer, has its own power supply

about any surround sound system will decode ac3 now days just make sure the one you pick has digital in jack or optical jack.

you want to make sure your ac3 decoder has an optical port as that is how the mercury II passes ac3 signal.
