Think about buying new system

Howdy Everyone,
I am thinking about buying a Fortec Lifetime Classic reciver,100cm dish,Invacom SNH031 LNBF with a Stab HH120 motor to move it around.I live in Homestead Florida have clear line of site and wish to place the dish on a 12ft 2 3/8 in pole. Will this give me excellent reception to Southeast Asian and middle Eastern channels?

Hey Blue Eyes.
I live in Newport News VA.My rig is on a 10 foot pole burried 2@1/2 Ft in the ground. There are a lot of middle eastern stations at 97W and they are coming in great here.

that is a killer system, should be all you will need to get those stations. The motor is a good idea, once you start ziipping around the different satellites you will be hooked! If you put it on a 12 ft pole it might move around in the wind unless you have the pole braced, the 100cm dish catches a lot of wind.

First there are middle eastern and aisian channels at 30 degrees if I remember correctly. Some on M5 at 116.8. Maybe on Amazonas at 61. Do not remember all off the top of my head. Next on the list: Fill the pole with concrete. That will stabalize it

The pole is 15' it will be set in a 12"x3' hole filled with concret, braced at 8' from the gound with a piece of angel iron bolted to a concret block wall. The pole is VERY heavy.I do not feel that it will need to be filled.
As to the cable run it will be about 50' should I use an in line amp?I do not think I will need it but...........

Sounds like you have all the bases covered, no need for an inline amp.
