Fortec classic receiver

Hello to everyone. I am getting the message (Please wait code being updated) on my Fortec Classic receiver. Can someone please help me to get rid of this message. I can not watch any channel. THANKS

What were you doing when this started? Have you tried unplugging for a few seconds then powering back up?

I was connecting the TV cable to receiver. After I connected it this message (Please wait code being updated) poped up. Yes I turned the power off and on couple of times did n't work. I just purchased this receiver a week ago and it was working fine.

I think I would send it back. "code being updated" message sounds like it might have "unofficial" software on it.

Maybe someone else here will know, I'm not familiar with that receiver.
