did you try to hook both receivers up to the lnb (1 thru motor, 1 direct)?

Sadoun said in previous message that both receiver would control the motor. The motor doesnt care which receiver sends it signals, its a relatively stupid device and would move as told.
Try it, you might be surprised it actually works!
And to answer the 2nd part, you can with no problem hook the 2nd LNB direct to 2nd receiver. It will receive the signal the dish is pointing to.
If it does not move the motor with the trick above, just configure the 2nd receiver to have "no motor". That way it will think it's on a fixed, non movable dish and just receive whatever sat its pointing at. Obviously if that is the case you'll need a bit of manual coordination to set receiver 1 to the sat you want for receiver 2.
