What is the best overall satellite to catch FTA in USA

Just looking for a place to start that also offers the best variety. Yes, I've been to Lyngsat about 100 times. I'm confused by all the options.

The most KU FTA can be found on Intelsat America 5 and Galaxy 10R. Let us know what you are most interested in or if you need help with the Lyngsat charts and we can be more specific.

Yeah, its a pretty amazing site and confusing to navigate until you get the hang of it...

Go to FREE TV, then select the country of origin you want and it will bring up a list of the FTA channels from that country; then figure out which satellites cover North America (example; IA5) and those are the channels you can receiver here.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm mostly interested in Sports, action, racing and extreme events. I'm not very interested at all in the foreign language content, though ! #-o

Unfortunately lyngsat doesn't catagorize it that way. Even if they did I think you would find very few free channels of that type.

There are quite a few sports feeds. In fact, for a while Galaxy 11 had some cool racing feeds every Sunday. They had a channel for each in-car camera and you could chose which car you wanted to watch.

Feeds aren't predictable though and you need some familiarity with FTA first. And certianly a motor. If you had the patience and interest, you could start out by playing around with finding sats like IA5, and then on searching for feeds.

oh, and you'll really need a blind search reciever too.

For the time being, I'm gonna just go with a static dish, hope to get the aiming motor within next few weeks.

I have a Pansat 3500S, not sure it has blind search or not ?
