Getting FTA channels on Intelsat 801 at 31.5°W

Hello,

I have recently installed my 90cm dish with my fortec ultra receiver in Montreal, Canada. Works pretty well ! :mozilla_smile:

I have a lock on a couple of channels on Intelsat 801 at 31.5°W however from Lyngsat website I should have: TV 5 FBS on frequency 11060 H

My problem is that there nothing on that frequency ? I assume that there is no more TV5 and that I am too late ! am I right ? I thought the info was up to date but seems like its not.

Anyone can clarify for me ?

You are reading the information wrong. It is a common mistake. If you look at http://www.lyngsat.com/i801.html and look at the column "Beam", you will see that TV5 is beamed at West Indies. If you click on that link it will show you coverage. That signal is not visible in North America.
