Fixed dish Ku band programming accessability

I would like to find out what programming can be subscribed to on the Ku band that is accessable with a fixed 90 cm Ku band dish.
For example : Can Telstar 12 be accessed with this size dish or is it too far away? How does one determine these things if one does not yet have a satellite system and is trying to figure out what to buy? I'm totally new to this stuff and am trying to determine what is possible. I am not just interested in FTA programming but in subscription programming on ONLY the Ku band dish(s). I don't want to have to deal with a large dish that has to be moved from satellite to satelite. If necessary, more than one small dish is OK.
If I determine that adequate programming is available then I'LL be interested in the required equipment.
Thanks.

Telstar 12 channels are found here: http://www.lyngsat.com/t12.shtml

On the top/middle of that page you will see the satellite name "Telstar 12". Click on that link. It will take you to the satellite owner's website.

Now, if you click on FLEET, it will take you to the list of satellites owned by that company http://www.loralskynet.com/fleet/telstar12/t12ov_us.asp

Select Telstar 12.
Select FOOTPRINTS ( http://www.loralskynet.com/fleet/telstar12/t12ov_us.asp )

Footprints tell approximatelly the signal strength for a certain area. The higher the number, the smaller the dish needed.

For example the footprint for Telstar 12 is as follows:

For the Eastern USA, the strength is 48.

Now, if you go to our Installation Support page
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Installation.htm

Click on "Check Dish Size Required for your Area"
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Acces.../Dish-Size.htm

You will find out that a 65cm dish is minimum required for Eastern USA.

For Florida, for example, you will need a 75 cm dish, and so forth.

Buying subscription service is limited to certain satellites and packages. For example on Telstar 12 (http://www.lyngsat.com/t12.shtml), look at the channel, type of encryption, and the beam. If it is a North America beam, contact the channel directly ask them about subscription requirements, recommended equipment needed, and so forth.

To calculate the direction of your dish for your location, go to:

Good luck and I hope we answered some of your questions.
