What Blind Search means ?

Hi,

If I buy a dish with a motor and a receiver that support blind search.

Does the blind search, will search for all the viewable satellites of my area?

you have to lock onto a satellite and then blind search will search that satellite for the different channels available.

To do blind search do I have to know satellite information or TP? I dont need put any information about satellite in receiver setup?
