Pansat 2500a vs Pansat 500-ci

Hi, I'm looking for information on these receivers. Specs on the 2500a are straight forward, but the 500-ci says your able to add decoders(Viaccess,Nagravisuion, irdeto etc) to this receiver. As a private homeowner am I able to purchase this decoders to fit in the 500-ci & then buy the programming ? An example would be to buy the decoder from Bell & purchase the packages they offer. I've made up my mind to buy the 2500a , but would purchase the 500-ci if this is possible. Any info appreciated.
Thks.

Those decoders are called CAMs and are not available from Bell ExpressVu or DishNetwork -- you must use their receivers only. If you have made up your mind to buy the 2500 then all you can watch will be a few free channels on ExpressVu and DN; most are scrambled. However the 2500 will pick up lots of other free channels on other satellites like IA5, G10, etc. but you need a bigger dish; minimum of 33".
