dish question..

i have a oval dish..but the reflector is not made of metal...it is made of plastic..will the dish work with fta?

ok thanks, ok if i use the primestar lnb which has a H & V polarity connection..and a 4x1 switch...how do i configure the receiver..when all i can choose is either port A, B, C, or D?

I have never seen a Primestar dish or LNB but if the LNB is linear (V and H) then the FTA receiver can use it. Simply configure the dish as Port "A" on the DiSEqC switch. But you only need a switch if you are using multiple dishes or using multiple LNBs on one dish -- ie: pointing at more than one satellite. Now if the LNB has separate V and H outputs then you will need a 3X4 multiswitch (perhaps that is the switch you are talking about). You don't need to configure the receiver other than to specify the L.O. frequency which should be indicated on the LNB.

it is not possible to adjust the skew of the primestar lnb right? or is it?

i've been trying to get a signal with my primestar dish.. i think it's measured 36 width and 26 height...i'm using the primestar lnb that has the H and V polarization. Is it dish big enough to get t5/amc4 or g10R?
