Re: furthest satellite

Depends on the rotation angle of your h-h mount. Let say it is +/-50, the furthest EAST/WEST sats = 74 -/+ 50

i just bought a stab hh100, i live in nj and was wondering if i could pick up horizons 1 at 127 degrees. my true south would be sbs-6 74 degrees. i hope i could pick it up. do i have to drive the motor as far west as possible to fine tune the dish after i pick up a signal on sbs-6?

with the HH100 you should be able to reach 127 from your location. It will be to the extreme west limit of the motor. Perfect pole/motor/dish alingment is essential to get a signal.

No, what you do is get the strongest signal/quality on SBS6 (your true south satellite) and then all other satellites will be OK as the motor moves across the arc.

sb6- what is a strong signal/quality

{{{No, what you do is get the strongest signal/quality on SBS6 (your true south satellite) and then all other satellites will be OK as the motor moves across the arc.}}}

What is a strong signal/quality.....I'm currently getting 81%/40%....Is this good enough???using a 80 cm fortec, dish/lnbf(9.75-10.6ghz), hh9o stab.

I get certain Satellites and some transponders get good signal/quality, others nothing...does the tp frequncy have to be between the lnbf values? if so what lnbf would get the lower frequencies or is there such a thing? Or do I need a larger sat dish.

I am sooo confused!!! :shock:
