DVB786V3 vs DSR101 Plus

Hi all,

Is the Fortecstar receiver better or is the Satcruiser better? Looking at the specs, I cant seem to tell the difference.

Thanks....

They are both excellent receivers; Korean made. Spec wise there is not much difference between them.

Do both of them allow me to add satellites?

Do you know where i might be able to find a manual for the dsr101?

Yes, you can add satellites with the SatCruiser for sure; probably with the Fortec too.

Manuals -- you are going to find it tough to get one for the DSR101 - this receiver has been discontinued but it is still a very reliable unit. I've sold lots of them. You will find all receivers are pretty much menu-driven and so the need for a manual really becomes a moot point. If you get a DSR101 and need some help just holler .... we can walk you through it.

True.... there's not a lot of diferences among brands in terms of features and picture quality.

Which is a better brand name?
Fortec Star, BEC, Satcruiser.

Which is more reliable?

Thanks...

Its a matter of opinion I guess...

I like Satcruiser but in all fairness I have never carried Fortec or even installed one. BEC is really good as well but I've heard rumors of them not being available much longer for the North American market.

If you wanted to force me give you a choice -- I would have to say go with Fortec. You will be dealing with a reputable dealer (Sadoun) and there is lots of support on this site to help you out with any problems.
