Motor's voltage, limit switches for special project
Hey guys.
I just purchased a PowerTech DG280B from Sadoun for a special project I am working on. I needed a motor with rotary ability and it is perfect. I would like to know what the motor's stand alone suggested Votage input is. I disassembled the unit (yes, I know, the warranty is voided ) and tested the motor w/ 5V and 10V and it rotated nicely. I saw that it mentions 13/18V on the specs sheet but wasn't sure if that was for the whole unit only or if the motor as well.
Lastly, regarding the limit switches, I rotated the shaft all the way around but the limit switches didn't prevent the worm gear from going too far - I guess it is somehow software limited (of course I can be wrong!). I would like not to use the primary circuit (where the coax connects) to have the limit switches work properly. I see that the side ones get "clicked" when it rotates all the way around to the -/+ 80 degrees and the front gets clicked only when going to the right (from 0-80).
Any ideas on the motor's safe working voltages and how to modify the limit switches for use without the coax connection's circuitry?
Thanks a lot!
