Connect 10' mesh dish and 90cm dish

Hello all, I was just wondering if you could connect the C-band 10' mesh dish and a 90cm motorized Ku to work with one receiver. I only want to put the C-band on a stationary satellite and still move the Ku sat. I don't even know if this is feasable or not, but just thought if there was a sat with alot of C-band stuff that the Ku wouldn't get, I could receive them also. Receiver will be the Fortec from here...Thank you very much

    sure no problem at all.

You'd use a DISEQC switch to electronically select between the C band dish and the Ku dish (with motor).

In the receiver settings when you want C band - just set up that satellite with port 2 on the switch, and no USALS.
Ku would be on it's own port, and have motor settings to send position instructions.

    It will work just fine.

Here's a diagram. Just leave off the top part that has 4DTV on it as you're not using it, and you wont need the "hi freq splitters".
    Only the switch.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have several switches which include : sw21 , DTV 3x4multiswitch , Coolsat 4x1 diseqc, and a megasat 4x1 mini switch. Would you mind suggesting which of these would be best to use OR suggest a different one? Thank You again

Forgot to ask 1 thing and don't know how to edit my last post. Is there 1 sat that has mostly C-band stuff that I won't be able to get with Ku sat? If so, what would that sat be? Thank you again

The Coolsat 4x1 will work fine.
You'll only need two of the 4 available ports.

As far as what's on C band FTA digital - I'm not sure anymore.
After my C band dish motor broke - I'm no longer watching C band.

Maybe one of the other guys on C band can speak up...
